Use and importance of fire-resistant products gained speed all over the world especially following the attacks dated 11th of September occurred in the World Trade Center.

Insulation is applied to the load-bearing sections and divisions formed for the purpose of safe escape in order to ensure standing of the building until the fire is extinguished. Insulation is applied to roof and facades to prevent fire from splashing from outside and to such places with explosion risk like boiler room. Fire insulation is also applied to the areas where air channels and installation pipes pass to prevent dispersion of smoke and heat.

In our country, fireproof materials such as rockwool, plaster and fibrous cement boards etc. which do not transmit the flame have been started to be applied to walls, ceilings, floors and air channels of the building especially in hospitals and public buildings, plazas, shopping centers and places for general use as well.
